Be You Tea Full

We at Gourmet Giggles truly believe beauty shines from within.  Who else would find a ratty old dresser at a yard sale for $10 or a poor night stand laying on the side of the road, abandoned, and think, "This is the best find EVER!"?  We love things and people that are beautiful in ways others don't realize - until we get our hands on them that is.  Then, their beauty radiates all the way to space!  That being said, we think every little girl should know she is beautiful INSIDE and out and why not let her see it for herself while sitting at this adorable kids vanity.  Meet - Be You Tea Full.  She is indeed beautiful!  What do you think?

Don't mind Miss P's disheveled appearance - she just woke up from a sweaty car nap

We fell in love with the overlapping circles

You really have to see this fabric in person.  It also contains overlapping geometric shapes - they were made for one another!

All Dressed Up

I think I say this every time.  This may be one of my all time favorite Gourmet Giggles creations!  Ok, I say that every time, but each piece is so unique that it really is hard to choose.  Check out All Dressed Up.  She is waiting for your kids to hang up their favorite dress up dresses.  She even has storage for all their purses and shoes - what more could a girl want?!

I just LOVE the fabric covered knobs

Even the sides of the drawer scream - I'm pretty!

Check out all that storage!  The drawer is amazingly deep.

Standard spoon - even on the wardrobe.  What can we say, it has become our signature :-)

And again, nosy Miss Piper gives it her stamp of approval

I left the grooves along the side in case this piece hangs around and someone wants to lay some shelves in there later.  I think it would be a super cute shelving unit as little girl grows.

Gourmet Dream

Another auction item is this absolutely adorable red kitchen.  The only requirements were that it be red and gender neutral.  We love found pieces of furniture and this gem is no exception!

 Love the color combination

Our resident spoon smasher chose a fork for this piece ;-)

Our muscles were put to the test with that oven rack!

My grandma sent these to me recently - this project speaks to everyone in some way!

It's Piper tested and approved

Chalk and cork boards

Imagination Station

The white board/paper creation side - note the metal strip down each side for magnets, the trays to contain your drawing utensils or paint, the cork and the paper roll.

One of the Gourmet Giggle team members was asked to help with two auction items for Plew Elementary's art auction.  The first item she came up with is this adorable art easel.  Don't you just love it?  I am always so amazed by her creativity.  Can you guess what it used to be?

We named her Imagination Station

Little miss P was mighty curious!

The ruler accents really make the chalk board "measure up"

Happy Mistakes

While decorating for my daughter's first birthday party, I cut a plastic tablecloth too short and was annoyed with the outcome. My mother in law said it would be fine, in art there are many happy mistakes. She was right. We cut the other layer shorter and we were able to use the remnants in another place and the main dessert table was still adorable, probably more so had I thought the whole thing through before cutting.

Sometimes when we take our goods to a sale we are certain what we think will sell and what we will be taking home. Before Seaside we made some cake plates, candy pedestals, etc. We made a sweet little jewelry dish I was sure would sell right away because the colors are adorable and dainty, which goes perfectly with the dish. I said in the morning if it didn't sell I would be taking it home. Every time someone picked it up I hoped it would find a great home, but a small part of me hoped it wouldn't - haha! In the end it was left behind for me to enjoy. Yay me!

Meet - "The Dainty Dish"
and yes, she is posing in my bathroom ;-)

My son has inherited my love for our pieces. Yesterday, while in the spray paint isle (shocker - a Gourmet Giggles team member shopping for spray paint - never!), he asked if we could ditch our plastic singing kitchen and take one that I make home. Awwww, my heart melts.
