Sarah's Dresser

Sarah grew up with this dresser and as we all know, looking at something for 10 years, the itch for change comes knocking.  So she had it painted and it looks amazing in her room!!  It is so lightly distressed, just enough that the original cherry stain pops through.  If you can enlarge the pictures, please do!  It really made the piece special.

SIde Table

We were recently asked by a friend to do some pieces.  She is very talented herself, but so busy that she just can't get to the projects that are mounting in her home.  We all have big dreams these days thanks to Pinterest :-).  The first one we tackled was a little end table.  It was originally red and she wanted to take it to a more neutral color.  We ended up using Annie Sloan French Linen.  It is one of our new favorites, but those who follow us know as well as we do that there is a new favorite every few weeks, haha.  Anyhow, check out how it turned out.  We ended up using a little elbow grease to run off a layer of paint on the edges instead of distressing with sand paper so the red would peek through.  We love how it turned out!

Chair Pair

Check out these vintage school chairs redone!  They are so much fun and the stencil really gives them that extra something.  Go by ReRuns 4 Wee Ones in Valparaiso to check them out.  They will move down to Brocante when ReRuns closes for the holiday.
