Just Knobs

I always wonder what the neighbors and the mailman think of this whole project as they pass by and see everything strewn about in the driveway.  They must have really been wondering when they see the crazy lady spread out all over the yard photographing knobs.  Seriously, knobs.  We love the knobs we get at Cal's Appliance here in Niceville. They treat us so well over there and let us set up shop in their back room while we dump knobs all over the floor looking for the ones that call to us.  That say, "Put me on a kitchen!"  Our primary influence is our fabrics and our fabulous assortment of spray paint, followed closely by the knobs.

We have a love affair with turquoise

"Mom - this one is awesome!!"

The retro feel of the arrow makes this a go to in the studio

We are big fans of the color pop

And the super simple

These were in lines at some point - she had other plans

As she collected her favorites :-)

Love the subtle pink hue

So there you have it.  What would your reaction be if you drove up one day and say a lady, a baby and a dog laying in the grass taking pictures of stove top knobs??

Blue Moon

I am impatient!  I wanted to keep a few pieces a surprise for the yard sale, but I can't.  On that note, I have to share this piece!  Blue Moon, or big blue as she is affectionately called around the studio is a piece that had us as far out of our comfort zone as we have gone since this project began.  She is dark, has a much different "backsplash" and a contrast of colors far more bold than we have been using, which is what we love about her most.  What do you think?

Don't you just love her backsplash?

Seaside Community Yard Sale!

Come check us out at the Seaside Community Yard Sale February 11 - all day!  We will be rolling out some unique pieces unlike anything you have seen from our studios :-)

Here is a sneak peak to raise your curiosity!

Pink A Boo

Pink A Boo is one of the many pieces we will be showcasing down in Seaside next month for their yard sale.  We are thrilled to be part of this event and hope it will lead to a standing reservation as long as our times in FL.  As I was photographing Pink A Boo today we had not decided on her name.  Each piece gets named and lately, that name gets stamped into a spoon/fork and placed on the piece somewhere.  A few photos into her "session" the curtain blew aside and I got a glimpse of her pink interior, like she was trying to show it off without being too racy.  And it dawned on me, Pink A Boo - haha, I see you!  Immediately our resident spoon smasher/stamper went into action making her a name plate.

We are experimenting with alternative stove burners - aren't they cute!

PEEK!

Adorned with her newly hammered name plate

I love her sweet pink storage area

Whimsy 2

Dating back to the first bazaar in November, a mama had her eye on Miss Whimsy.  It would have been fate if it weren't for the fact that Whimsy did not have an oven. So, for her adorable little girl, we made Whimsy 2, complete with an oven :-).  Little miss turns two next weekend and I for one, can wait for her to play with it!
