Cherry On Top

We rearranged our space and set up over at ReRuns 4 Wee Ones in Valparaiso, so go check it out!  We have decided to take an approach in which we rotate our pieces of furniture after a few weeks and leave fewer in there.  Stop in and let us know what you think.  This new arrangement brings us to Cherry On Top.  These are the first two pieces we made specifically to put in Sarah's shop.  And since that was the case, we felt their photo shoot ought to happen there.  The name, as always, came to us for a number of reasons.  The fabric, to us, looks like piles of ice cream with cherries on top and this sweet little set really is the cherry on top.  It is a 2 piece set, but ideal for someone who has limited space. They are just slightly larger than one of our typical pieces when set side by side.  So your kids can enjoy the versatility of 2 pieces (ie. not fighting over the kitchen space) yet they won't take up too much room in your house.

We left the hinges on the side of the door so it can be an oven, a fridge, a microwave, whatever your little love wants it to be!

 Aren't they cute?

Sweet Pea

Meet Sweet Pea.  We love how her oven door turned out!  It is our favorite oven door so far.  That got us asking ourselves, "Which piece is our favorite?".  With each new piece we exclaim, "This is my new favorite!".  But we realized we do something new and different that we love on each kitchen and it isn't that we love any of them more than the rest, but we love something about each one.  We will have to post a blog post soon about the sections of each piece that is our favorite, but for now I need you to see Sweet Pea.  She is just precious, and coincidentally she went to a home in which the little girl's nickname is "sweet pea". That happened purely on accident which makes me feel like it was meant to be.
I love this fabric and this oven door!

Her back splash has a towel hook and a container for whatever her little heart desires.  I figured chalk and message center stuff, or cooking tools like spoons, whisks and spatulas.

I have been wanting to do a square sink for some time and this was the perfect piece.

we made 5 magnets using the fabric from the curtain

my grandma sent me a bunch of these knobs a while back and we love using them for towel holders.  Aren't they sweet?

And of course, the spoon :-)
