Sarah's Dresser

Sarah grew up with this dresser and as we all know, looking at something for 10 years, the itch for change comes knocking.  So she had it painted and it looks amazing in her room!!  It is so lightly distressed, just enough that the original cherry stain pops through.  If you can enlarge the pictures, please do!  It really made the piece special.

Peacock Inspired Bench

This peacock inspired bench was donated to the Plea Elementary Night of the Arts.  From what I gather it was a hit.  Isn't it pretty!  LaDawn did and AMAZING job on the hand painted pillow!!!  There were some funny quotes while building this bench, most not rated for the written word, but all in all such a fun project!!

Seaside Table and Chairs

This table and chairs belongs in Florida.  Every time we do a table/chairs, I think, yes, this is how I will do our family table and chairs.  Then we do the next one and I think the same thing.  So I am still out on how I will do my family table once we get to Texas.  But Katie's table and chairs is BEAUTIFUL!  It is duck egg with a dark walnut table top.  I hope her family is enjoying their mealtimes while sitting at it!

Petite Desk and a Chair

Sometimes a plan comes together in some unexpected ways.  I am not sure I would normally have paired these two pieces of furniture together, but somehow it works!  It is going in to a very fun house with eclectic character that I adore.  Sarah is very trusting to give us free reign :-).  We added a cushion to the chair which was a first for us!  We were relatively uncertain what we were doing, but that sums up how we jump in to many of our projects!  It is always fun to learn a new trick and gain a little confidence along the way.  The sun could not make up her mind, so ignore the color differences between the pictures.  I am not equipped with fancy enough editing software to really make a difference.

Roll Top Desk

 One of the things I love most about what we do is how people respond to it.  People really take a liking to the children's pieces, even if they don't have kids.  We get random emails and phone calls asking if we have a use for this or that.  I got a phone call from my husband's aunt in St Petersburg, FL sometime last summer about a kid size roll top desk.  Her neighbor was getting rid of it and knowing Nancy was a teacher she asked if she wanted it.  Well, immediately she thought of me and was kind enough to hang on to it until Christmas!!  That's dedication people!  I would have said, "forget that lady" and stuck it at the curb, but no, she kept it for me.  What a saint!  The minute I saw it I started making plans for it.  I think it turned out pretty darn cute, what do you think?

We lined the backs of the shelves and the bottoms of the drawers with a yellow polka dot paper. 

Halle aka Dear Old Friend

Halle, our Dear Old Friend, has been hanging around our shop for quite some time waiting for her family to be ready for her :-).  We have become friends with her and were especially sad to see this one go.  She has had more accessories sprayed for her than we can count and as new things have come our way we would change our minds.  We don't get our hands on too many of these "fridge" furniture pieces, but excited it is going to this family.  It was time for her to move out and onto being played with before we changed our minds, AGAIN!  We are so happy her family is home and settling back in to life here in Niceville!

Chow Center

I have wanted to make a dog dish center for a LONG time.  Since I first discovered Pinterest.  But, we did not have a dog and I was not sure it really fit the GG and More style.  Well, I tell ya, if I find another dresser this size I will gladly turn it into a doggy station!  Check out Meadow's Chow Center.
